Better late than never – this past weekend was probably the last weekend before the newest Thompson arrives. We have no idea if it’s a boy or a girl, so the suspense has been very exciting. Found two new spots to take pictures in Oxford – both are awesome… Finding the second spot almost caused a major argument, but I’m so happy we did it. That’s an amazing photo.
On Friday night and Saturday, we spent some time in Water Valley, a small town just south of Oxford. We had a great time and quickly realized there is more to do in Water Valley than we had previously thought. I also got a chance to take my new X100 for spin (I did some trading of other camera gear).
Friday night was the 3rd Annual Water Valley Art Crawl. It consisted of about 15 stops – some full time galleries, some homes of artists and some that were both. We got there a little late, so we checked out this really cool grocery store (which delivers to Oxford once a week) before it closed for the night.

Saturday, we went to the Fiddlin’ Rooster – a farm in Water Valley with all kinds of stuff to do, especially with kids.

Because I’ve been so busy, Leslie Ann threatened to hire a photographer to take McLean’s two year pictures… But I really wanted to be the one to capture some of these moments and I’m so glad we took the time to do it. I’ve missed seeing your sweet little girl for many months. She’s growing up to be a real beauty! Look at that smile! I’ve also missed your other photographs.
LA and I had a great time with Kyser and Alice in NYC in June. We did Mississippi in the Park and saw a ton of live music.
The tattoo is temporary (thankfully).
